Quite an extensive buffet, since I needed eleven(!) pictures to capture it. And a view of Hanoi’s Tay Ho (West Lake) to die for. And yet… On the positive side, excellent choice or Western and Asian, primarily but not exclusively Korean cuisine. The croissants were very nice, as was the Egg Benedict. Decent choice of cheeses and cold cuts, very good spread of salads and vegetables as well as of fresh fruit. I tried a number of Asian dishes and liked them. On the other hand, the bread was not that great (I samples a few different slices and they were dry). Tea was bags only which is astonishing in a 5-star hotel. And although I rarely comment on the service, I will make an exception here and say that it really was not top class. You had to remind the staff of your drink order, and dirty plates were left on your table for longer than usual. This brings down what really should have been a higher rating and we end up with 6.5/10.
