I’m not going to waste many words on this. Suffice it to say that it is what I now recognise to be the ‘standard minimum breakfast’ offered by a certain type of American hotels. And even for what it is, a disappointment. 1.5/10

The standard (i.e., pretty unsatisfactory) breakfast of this trip. However, the scrambled eggs were all right and they had Earl Grey tea (in bags). On the other hand, no butter, just a spreadable vegetable substitute; and no bagels. So, same breakfast, same grade: 3/10.
This rather sparse and unappetising breakfast is advertised as “our delicious complementary deluxe continental breakfast”. A case of false advertising, if ever I saw one. No fruit, no warm dishes, bagels for raisin bagels only, the cereals with loaded with sugar. I could go on but I won’t. 2/10.
Another very basic American hotel breakfast. Not much to say, except that there were no hot dishes apart from waffles and grits; and the tea was Liptons Yellow only. The fruit offering was reasonable, though, so I will still give it 3/10.
