Today, I had one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The buffet was fantastic: obviously local (Vietnamese), but also a choice of Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Western food. The bread justified the saying “Vietnam has the best baguettes east of Paris“. Plenty of hot dishes of all kinds, an omelette bar, excellent choice of fruit, vegetables, cold cuts, cheese, pastries with jams and marmalades. I may have overlooked something. It would have been impossible for me to sample everything, even though I did my best, but the lovely Australian couple at the next table were happy to contribute their views, which were as positive as my own. The only reason this breakfast does not get the top 10/10, is because there was only one type of black tea, Liptons with bags. Oh, and I didn’t spot any honey, which is surprising as it is a local specialty. So, with great pleasure, 9.5/10 and I will be back.
