Boutique Hotel Kredo, Herceg-Novi, Montenegro, 9-16 July 2018

A charming hotel looking out over Kotor Bay. The breakfast is excellent. A fantastic spread of cold cuts, cheeses (white and yellow) and vegetables, rivalling the best I have so far seen. Nice fruit table too, and good choice of juices and reasonable of cereals. There is also a pleasing table of desserts, jams/marmalades and youghurts, with a nice touch of smoothies as well.

Only teabags, but this is as expected and there is a decent, if not spectacular choice. (Incidentally, the reason I never write about coffee is very simple: I don’t drink coffee.) The warm offerings seem less spectacular be are all right. There is a good choice of breads. However, while nothing wrong with the bread, it is somewhat unexciting – nothing that you would say is ‘local’ or ‘special’. But this improved as the week went on and I’m happy therefore to give this breakfast 8/10.
