This one was a difficult judgement. A very varied spread, although as is generally the case in Europe, no concession to non-western breakfast styles. I was particularly impressed by the Healthy Corner (the pickled Camembert was nice), and there were also gluten-free dishes on offer. My pictures don’t cover everything, for instance there was also an omelette bar and an ice cream bar. Weak on the fresh vegetables side. Plenty of choice of bread, but it did not give the impression of being freshly baked. The croissants and pains chocolat were distinctly soggy. We tried a wide variety of dishes and generally felt that while they were fine, there was nothing extraordinary about them, although bacon was excellent. Tea was bags only, of course. An annoying fact was that when we entered the restaurant, although it was not full, it took a considerable time before someone came to ‘check us in’. As against that, a large, airy room, where you could easily conduct a conversation without having to raise your voice. This leaves us with a very competent, but by no means spectacular breakfast and we agreed on a verdict of 6.5/10
