This was a breakfast that initially promised much but ultimately delivevered less. To be fair, I was prejudiced from the start because the hotel WiFi wasn’t working. However, that aside, what did we have? Loose-leaf tea and plenty of choice of that. Excellent croissants. Good choice of cheese and cold cuts. And a gluten-free something (unidentifiable but important for those who need it). So far, so very good. But no vegetables. Limited fruit choice. One type of ‘normal’ bread apart from the croissants. Baguettes eventually appeared but were definitely sub-par. One hot dish, scrambled eggs – they were cold. Various empty spaces were the clearly was supposed to be something on offer. So: this could easily have been 6.5/10; but ends up at a slightly below-average 4.5 instead.
