This is a truly outstanding breakfast! A large buffet, featuring (of course!) local and Western food. In addition, Chinese, Japanese and Indian food, everything of top quality. The bread is excellent, including but not limited to very nice croissants. There is gluten-free and egg-free bread as well. Good choice of vegetables and cold cuts. Obviously there is a phở bar and an egg bar. Excellent choice of cheese and salads; pancakes and waffles, of course; and very nice fruit. An extra bonus is at least four different kinds of honey; and also a spectacular view of West Lake. For a moment I worried that the tea would be bags only, but that was a misconception, quickly corrected by the attentive staff. All in all, this is indeed one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had and I rate it 10/10, only the second breakfast to earn the top mark on this blog. That the other one with top rating is also in Hanoi (the Metropole) does indeed to make this a worthwhile city to visit, even if there were no other reasons — and there are plenty of other reasons to come here!
