(Today happens to be the 75th anniversary of Vietnam’s of independence in 1945. Amazing time to be here.)
A nice buffet breakfast, somewhat balanced towards Asian food, but enough European to satisfy those, like me prefer that cuisine for breakfast – although I sampled some of the local dishes as well. Plenty of cold cuts, hot dishes and vegetables and fruit as well as an egg bar. No cheese and, sadly in a land of wonderful honey, no honey. The bread was surprisingly disappointing. But the tea was good and the service excellent. (I noticed the buffet was out of butter. A few minutes later, butter was brought to my table.) A very adequate breakfast and certainly worth 5.5/10, so somewhat above average.
