Etihad Airlines offers two nights accommodation in Abu Dhabi as part of their ticket so I took the opportunity to spend some time there. Breakfast is in the restaurant, costs around £12.50 starting from 6:30 am till 10:30. There is an egg station which I discovered only after I had taken the ready prepared scrambled eggs, they were okay nothing extra ordinary. Comes with as expected grilled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms and baked beans ( don’t even think about asking for some bacon) there is also more traditional hummus and ful beans. I tried the hummus which is the traditional working man’s breakfast in the Arab world and found it adequate. There also was a selection of dishes with an Indian bent which I passed on. A good selection of chopped vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, pastries and a choice of white, brown or Arabic pita bread. More a coffee lover I had the filter coffee and noted for Gabriel only hot water and tea bags. Finished the meal with some fresh fruit. Overall ticked the boxes without any wow factor so a solid 6.
