This was a rather unexpected experience. The tour of Angkor Wat began at 5 am. No one mentioned that there would be a breakfast break. Nevertheless, there it was, and I feel bound to review it. Not a buffet, but a very extensive menu with a rather eclectic mix of western and local food (in spite of the name of the establishment, which would imply only local specialties). In the end, I decided to have the pancakes with pineapple and a cup of tea. That the tea would be bags only was obvious, but Lipton’s Yellow Label was an extra disappointment. The pancake, however, was rather nice and came on the bed of fresh pineapple and with a cute decoration of carrots, and for that reason, I award this place 2.5/10. (In spite of comments from another guest who had the banana pancake, which came with the bananas baked inside the pancake, apparently not a fantastic dish.)
