Another French hotel breakfast. Again, a by some standards relatively small, but nevertheless well-stocked buffet. The bread was excellent, good choice of cold cuts and cheese as well as vegetables. The local tomatoes were delicious. Once again, the warm dishes consisted only of scrambled eggs and bacon as well as hard-boiled eggs. But the eggs and bacon were very good. This hotel is well-known for its pastries and they were certainly excellent. On the negative side, the tea was, needless to say, bags only, but at least this was a superior type of teabag. There was also a very nice fruit salad and the fruit juice was freshly squeezed. On the other hand, the croissants were deeply disappointing, the kind of soft croissant you would only associate with a bad breakfast in the United Kingdom (not a compliment). Nevertheless, this was an excellent breakfast overall and I’m very happy to give it 7.5/10.
