This one is difficult for me to judge. There is absolutely no concession at all to Western taste. This is not a criticism, nor is it surprising. In the one week I have so far been in Xinjiang, I have seen exactly two foreigners. But it does mean that, regardless of my personal feelings and tastes, I have to rely on my travel companions for their view about the quality of the offering. What I can say is that this is a medium-size buffet, fairly varied, with plenty of warm dishes, including some local (i.e., Uighur, as opposed to Chinese). There is a good choice of fresh fruit, but not so much in terms of fresh vegetables (plenty of steamed, though). The tea is bags only and the hot water dispenser is difficult to operate. My travel companions were divided, ranging in opinion from 6 to 8., with the higher number taking into account the standard of the breakfast relative to the relatively low cost of the hotel. In the end, the choice still falls to me and I will give it 6.5/10. Not amazing, but certainly above average.
